HOW DO I BOOK?

All bookings need to be made online in advance via the Actio App.

We are proud to be using the NOWCA system to run our sessions. You can register and pay for a NOWCA safety wristband the ACTIO app to collect on your next visit. The wristband enables you to start logging your swim distance and time so you can track your performance. We can then track you safely in and out of the water every time you swim on one of our sessions.

  • Download the Actio App

  • Sign in with your existing NOWCA account (if you aren’t a NOWCA swimmer yet then no worries – create an account and follow the prompts to sign up)

  • Search for ‘Swim Lakeside’

  • Scroll down to ‘Events’ and find the FRIGHT NIGHT SWIM you and pay

  • Job done! You’re booked in!

WHAT TO BRING?

A bright colour swim hat, goggles and tow bag must be worn along with personal illumination. This can be as simple as putting a torch in your dry bag for your swim. Alternatively, we recommend adventure lights from Swim Secure to clip onto your tow bag. This helps keep you visible to our lifeguards and gives you something buoyant to grab onto should you get into difficulty during your swim.

WETSUITS?

Will be required for the Night Swim. We recommended the use of gloves and neoprene socks for warmth. The current water temperature will be displayed at reception on the day of your swim.

Due to covid-19 restrictions wetsuit and equipment hire is currently unavailable.

FREE SECURE PARKING

Free parking is available at the Lakeside Shopping Centre. Our all new watersports centre is located next to The Travelodge at the south end of Alexandra Lake and centre boasts excellent changing facilities including hot showers. We also recommend bringing a dry robe or changing robe to help keep you warm. Lockers are available which require a small padlock. Please bring your own or leave your kit in your car, putting your car key in your tow bag.
