HOW TO BOOK
We are proud to be using the NOWCA system to run our sessions. You can register and pay for a NOWCA safety wristband the ACTIO app to collect on your next visit. The wristband enables you to start logging your swim distance and time so you can track your performance. We can then track you safely in and out of the water every time you swim on one of our sessions.

THE COURSE
WHAT TO BRING?
A bright colour swim hat, goggles and tow bag must be worn at all times during our open water swimming sessions. This helps keep you visible to our lifeguards and gives you something buoyant to grab onto should you get into difficulty during your swim.
WETSUITS?
Are recommended for water temperatures between 11 and 22 degrees Celsius. The current water temperature is displayed at reception on the day of your swim.
Hire wetsuits and tow floats are available!
FREE SECURE PARKING
Free parking is available at the Lakeside Shopping Centre. Our all new watersports centre is located next to The Travelodge at the south end of Alexandra Lake and centre boasts excellent changing facilities including hot showers. Lockers are available which require a small padlock. Please bring your own or leave your kit in your car, putting your car key in your tow bag.
WHAT ARE THE ADMISSIONS CRITERIA?
To take part in our open water swimming sessions you must:
Have pre-booked via the ACTIO app and sign in at reception using your NOWCA wristband.
Be age 11 and over. U16’s need an accompanying adult on site with them.
Be capable of completing a 400m continuous swim.
Wear a brightly coloured swim hat, goggles and tow bag at all times. Wetsuits are advised when the water temp is below 16c. If you choose to not wear a wetsuit this will increase the risk of cold water shock.
